Description
Lonato is a small, quiet and pleasant town located in one of the most attractive situations on the lake Garda. Here, on a delightful hill close to the lake, surrounded by ancient lemon growings and centuries-old olive trees typical of the Garda area, is placed the Poggio le Bagnole, with its comfortable flats, fitted with balcony, garden and parking.
About us
The Poggio delle Bagnole, a recently builded cottage (2004), was conceived to satisfy completely the needs of visitors who wish to enjoy their stay on the lake Garda as an unforgettable and unique experience. Our bedrooms, furnished with all the conveniences and decorated paying attention to all details, are cosy and comfortable; their position close to the nature is the best guarantee of relax for our kind guests.
Le Bagnole, thank's to their exclusive location near the lake, give the chance of a perfect stay both to visitors who are looking for peace in an unique and suggestive landscape (combined with the delight of the typical plates of Brescia cooking), both for the ones who want to enjoy the Garda and try all the possibilities it gives, from the hystorical-cultural point of view, but also for what concerns sports, amusements and leisures.
Where we are
The province of Lonato occupies a surface area of 70.55 kmq (43.83 sq miles) and its northern borders divide it from Padenghe, Calvagese and Bedizzole areas, western from Calcinato, southern from Castiglione delle Stiviere and Solferino, south-eastern from Pozzolengo, eastern from Desenzano del Garda.
Le Bagnole is placed in the Lonato province, more exactly in the village of Sedena. The origin of the place-name “Sedena” dates back to the roman word “sedes”, wich means residence,property, dwelling. There was supposed to pass the ancient Gaelic way coming from Pontenove,Bedizzole province, connection between the Brescia hinterland and the lake Garda, meant as commercial way for the distribution of local goods.
Our bedrooms
Relax, comfort, quiet: this is what Le Bagnole means to offer to its guests. Each of the 12 rooms, furnished with antiques and typical wrought iron beds, offer all the conveniences: TV, direct telephone line, heating, air conditioned, large terrace with panoramic view on the lake.

Our kind guests will find just besides the Poggio le Bagnole the real taste of the typical Garda cooking: our restaurant invites you to discover the taste of our land in the precious olive oil, in the famous Garda wines and in the typical dishes of the local tradition.
Facilities
Our swimming pool, with its wide solarium and massage possibilities ,is at disposal of our guests, who'll have also the chance to attend to short swimming courses, individual or collective. We are completing a well equipped football ground.
The ones who love sports will find in the closest neighbourhood many interesting opportunities: among them, mountain biking, trekking, moto cross, clay pigeon, go-kart, golf, riding, sailing, enduro, fishing.
Sport and activities
Many different activities are available in le Bagnole or its neighbourhoods for the ones who wish to discover the Garda and enjoy its life:
Swimming pool : where you can attend to short swimming courses, individual or collective.Wide solarium and massages.
Mountain bike: renting and possibility, if requested, to take a guide for impressive excursions at any level of difficulty.
Trekking: There are wonderful routes leaving from the Poggio le Bagnole along the lake Garda hills. Guided excursions of few days even in high mountains such as Adamello and Brenta.
Motocross: race-tracks, the most beautiful in Northern Italy, are located not far from le Bagnole: Mantova, Cremona and Odolo and many more of different dimension and excellent level. It is possible to visit them and take short classes with a federal teacher. Moto washing, a small machine-shop, garage and van service are the facilities you can find.
Super Motard: 2 race-tracks, 4 by 12 km, are available for the ones who want to test their motobike.
Go-cart: rentals “South Garda Karting” just 4 km away.
Clay pigeon: “Conca Verde” 4 km away .
Golf: course “Arzaga” 3 km far from us, “Garda golf” course 10 km away.
Horse Riding: school just 2 km far, horse renting .
Sailing: possibility of renting in the closest neighbourhood .
Wetbike: possibility of renting in the closest neighbourhood .
Enduro: Leaving from le Bagnole you can test the tracks of the “6 days” race or the Lumezzane “Extreme” together with our enduro champions. Moto washing, a small machine shop and garage, van service are the facilities you can find in the area.
Football: matches, once/twice a week together with le Bagnole management, in a close ground. Our own well-equipped football ground will be ready very soon.
Tennis: courts, the best of the Garda, are quite close to le Bagnole, giving the chance of individual courses.
Gastronomic excursions: Season excursions for the lovers of mushrooms, chestnuts and truffles picking, in the lovely nature of the Garda .
Fishing: There are many opportunities for the ones who like all kind of fishing: on the Garda shores, on the river Chiese banks or in artificial lakes for sportive fishing. It will also be possible for the lovers of fly-fishing to reach the pure streams or the alpine lakes in the surrounding mountains for few days with a guide. The most widespread specimen are various trouts and salmonidae (such as fario, marmorata, salmerino, temolo). |
