The castle, one of the best preserved here at Lake Garda was built at the end of the 9th century. The castle is situated in the Villa Bernini park.
Lazise is an enchanting place, especially Piazza V. Emanuele and the small port, which is still crowded with fishing boats and modern yachts. Many shops like jewellers, shoe shops and art galleries can be found in the center of the town. Around the harbour and the lakeside exist a wide variety of restaurants, bars and cafes where you can enjoy dishes with fresh fish from the Lake Garda.
In the past, the economy was almost entirely based on fishing and agriculture, especially vineyards and olive groves. |
