Tignale |
 | | Tignale is a conglomeration of some small towns in the west of Lake Garda between Tremosine, Gargano and Magasa. These towns are situated on the upland plain. The road between the lakeside and Tignale was first built at the beginning of the century. |

Till then there had been no direct access for the people of Tignale to Lake Garda. Embedded in the mountains and amongst plantations of olive trees it is an ideal start of extensive walk around the mountains. And all along your way you will find a marvellous look down at the Lake Garda. From the olive trees around you an olive oil with a very excellent quality will be pressed in the olive mill in Gardola the biggest town of Tignale. A good place to visit is Madonna di Montecastello, a pilgrimage church that you just can reach by small footpath.
Tignale offers a wide range of modern deluxe tourist facilities including about a dozen hotels and two hotel resorts, as well as residences, rooms to rent, delightful local restaurants, bars, tennis courts, and swimming pools.
