Torri del Benaco has about 3,000 inhabitants and is located on the eastern shore of Lake Garda. The name giver of Lake Garda the town Garda is only a few kilometres away. Torri del benaco belongs to the region Venetian in the province Verona.

The best way to get to the beautiful town Torri del Benaco is by ferry. It ferries the passenger over to Maderno on the western shore of Lake Garda. Choosing this method offers a nice view on the Scaliger castle and the harbour of Torri del Benaco. The castle was built as fortress ion the 9th century. In 1383 it was extend to a castle by Antonio della Scala. Nowadays a museum can be found in the castle. Behind the castle is a small orange and lemon plantation.

Torri del Benaco is one of the most native towns at Lake Garda. The small and narrow streets in the old town fascinate the visitor and have a special flair. Many famous people visited Torri del Benaco and raved about the town.

The large pebble beach in Torri del Benaco is often very crowded, because the crystal clear water is not only attracting tourist but also locals. Water sports like surfing and sailing are also very popular. Tennis courts are around and there is an 18-hole golf course too. About a 1h drive by car away is Italy’s largest theme parks the Gardaland and the Caneva World Resort. The famous city Verona is only 50 km away and is a popular day trip destination.
