One Hour Classic - Windsurf-Regatta - Nago-Torbole

The One Hour Classic represents the history of windsurfing in Lake Garda Trentino, born at the end of the 80's, when new forms of racing were invented and proposed to meet the strong expansion of the discipline as well as the ever more advanced equipment in slalom.

It has always been the top race of the Circolo Surf Torbole and consists of reaching the greatest number of sides around two buoys positioned on opposite sides of the lake (east and west) above the wind, in 1 hour. Since 2015 the PWA Slalom World Champion Matteo Iachino ITA-140 from 2016 has been the record holder, who lowered the previous record of the late athlete of the Circolo Surf Torbole Alberto Menegatti by another "55". In 2012 Alberto managed to snatch Alessandro Comerlati's record from 1991 and remain unbeaten for over 20 years (1991 - 16 pages in 1h04'35").
Today, the challenge is to overcome the 18 teams in 1 hour, 4' and 5". There is prize money for the best riders who will participate in the RRD One Hour Classic. But this year's novelty, almost 30 years after its invention, is the extension of the FOIL category, which shows that the club is further developing its history and offering it in a modern context with the technical development of windsurfing. This makes it possible to participate in the RRD One Hour Classic, the new discipline RRD One Hour Foil or both!
