Magnalonga Settembrina - Gourmet walk - Negrar, Valpolicella

The 17th Magnalonga Settembrina takes place on September 1st. Negrar invites you to take a walk among the colours of the vineyards to discover the taste of the cellars in Valpolicella.

The path of the 17th edition of the Magnalonga Settembrina, introduces us to the landscapes, villages, and hills that surround Negrar. Waiting for the departure that takes place near the center of the country, you can taste local products such as meats and cheeses. Once we have left, flanking the town centre, we head towards the village of Saga for the tasting of the bruschetta with extra-virgin olive oil. After passing through the village we enter the Cantina Valpolicella for the appetizer accompanied by the Valpolicella Classico. Walking through the vineyards we head towards Moron, and then, after a short stretch of paved road, we enter the district Crosara, where the Cantina Boni awaits us with the risotto "tastasal" accompanied by Valpolicella Ripasso. Returning to the path, we go up a short climb always immersed in the vineyards and reach the fountain of Jago for a good plate of pasta and beans with the Valpolicella Superiore of the Cantina F.lli Benedetti. Through a gentle downhill path, we return to the centre of the village to the Corte VasonCaprini, a characteristic courtyard that has already hosted exhibitions and shows, where the second course, stew with vegetables, is waiting for us, accompanied by the Amarone della Valpolicella della Cantina La Quena. Crossing the square of Negrar and the Progno, we head to Villa Rizzardi, the most famous eighteenth-century villa of Negrar. Walking along the park we arrive at Villa, at the Norma Massaro winery, a new generation of winemakers, where we will taste the cheeses of Lessinia with jam, accompanied by Valpolicella Ripasso. Climbing up the hill, along the path to San Peretto awaits us ice cream and the cellar Corte Gonella, the Dolce della Magnalonga Settembrina, accompanied by Passito Rosso. After leaving the courtyard we pass under the Romanesque bell tower of the 1500 church of San Pietro e Paolo and after a short stretch on the road, along Villa Rovereti we reach the arrival for the coffee that will conclude the food and wine walk.
