Spring and autumn are the best seasons for scuba diving at Lake Garda. During those seasons the sight is more than 6 meters. In summer the sight can be limited due to the algal bloom. However the water temperature are pleasant all year.

The numerous scuba diving schools offer guided scuba diving tours and the diving equipment. As beginner you get also get the ADI Open Water Certificate within some days.

There are some scuba diving spots that are particularly for beginners. The Porto San Nicolò and the Baia Azzurra in Riva del Garda are two spots that have an easy entry. The Cippo di confine at Navene, a district of Malcesine is for pros. The depth is about 40 meters.

Diving in Lake Garda gives you an impression of the underwater world. You see fascinating rock formation, many fish and a beautiful flora. There are even some boats wrecks you can see next to the towns Salò, Malcesine or Riva del Garda.

For safety reason you have to anchor a red white buoy or a red white flag on a boat and you should stay within a radius of 50 meters around the signal.
